Solar panels

We have had some lovely weather, made even better by the fact that our swimming pool solar panels have been put up this week. The grand 'turn on' should be Monday. Today the electrics and final piping will be completed, the rest of the day permitting the joints to cure. Of course it is cool today! Yet we had temperatures of 40 degrees a day or two ago. As where we live we are inclined to get snow in the winter, our roofs are quite steep. Hence the installation required the hire of a machine to raise the installer up to the roof. The straight up and down one was not suficient, this at a cost of approx 1000€ for 3 day hire. The panels were straightened out in the sun 2 days before use. Treated wooden planks were screwed onto the tiles, the panels were then secured onto the planks. The pipes were laid with a slight run, the drain off valves are down at the bottom of the pipes. This has taken approx 4-5 days to complete. Care being taken not to hit the electric cable! Today I will make a real start on cleaning the pool in preparation for our extended swimming season.
